Live FPL bonus points and BPS explained

Bonus can change a close mini-league battle. In Fantasy Live PL, Match Centre shows the available Bonus Points System (BPS) values alongside the bonus points for each match.

BPS is not the same as bonus points

BPS is the underlying performance score used to allocate bonus. The Bonus column shows the fantasy points awarded or provisionally allocated. Do not add a player's raw BPS value to their fantasy score.

Example: reading BPS and fantasy bonus separately

If a match card shows BPS 30 and Bonus 3, the fantasy bonus is 3 points, not 30 or 33. BPS helps determine the award; it is not itself added to the FPL total. When comparing a team total, do not add bonus again if the displayed points already include it.

Provisional and confirmed bonus

During a game, performance statistics and the order of the BPS table can change. Our match cards label bonus as provisional until it is confirmed. A full-time result alone should not be read as proof that every fantasy statistic is final.

Follow events alongside bonus

Open Events & bonus on a match card to see reported goals, FPL assists, cards and penalty events alongside the bonus table. Events are grouped by type: the source does not provide a complete minute-by-minute event timeline.

Why is a bonus table missing?

When the necessary data has not arrived, the card says that bonus is not yet available. That is different from a player having zero bonus. Check the update status if the data is delayed.

Follow your own interests

Open a league and choose your team in My Live, then use My matches to focus on relevant fixtures. Match Centre also works independently of a league and refreshes every 30 seconds while open.

Open live Match Centre. Refer to the official FPL rules for the complete bonus system.
